Luka is an associate focusing on commercial real estate and corporate law transactions. He is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals in an efficient and practical manner.

Before joining the firm, Luka served as in-house counsel at several publicly-traded, international organizations. He spent the bulk of his in-house career in the medical device industry developing corporate compliance and privacy programs. Most notably, as Compliance Counsel at Avanos Medical, Inc., he played an integral role in developing that company’s healthcare compliance program from the ground up, eventually serving as the interim leader of the compliance function during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic. In his role as in-house counsel, Luka also negotiated and drafted documents for a variety of multimillion-dollar commercial transactions, including among others distribution and supply agreements, franchise agreements, licensing agreements, and commercial leases.

Luka earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2015 where he also earned the Transactional Law and Skills Certificate, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Winthrop University in 2012. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and Pennsylvania.

Outside of practicing law, Luka enjoys traveling and hiking with his golden retriever. As a former NCAA Division 1 tennis player, he also maintains his passion for sports and competition by participating in basketball and tennis leagues across the metro Atlanta area. Originally born in the former Yugoslavia, Luka is fluent in Serbian, Croatian, and Bosnian.
